Feed - We handle Feed in our business and need software updates - what next? (info #3)

Since you handle Feed in your business, you are required by the FDA to track lot #'s on Feed coming into and going out of your operation. We have been updating our software to handle these requirements. We are adding the needed fields into our Inventory Received, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Feed Management Software.
The next step to getting our FDA Lot # tracking software solution installed is answer these questions and email Lisa Sick the answers.
1. Do you have each Feed product identified in the computer (as Accounts Receivable Items) with it's own item number? Y/N
Some people sell products as just item "Feed". That will no longer work with these requirements. We need to track each item with it's description, unit of measure.
- If yes, simply let me know 1. Yes and continue to the next question.
- If no, let me know 1. No and we will help you make a plan to create new items within a Fine Line Code & Department for required tracking.
You need etraining on "Setting up Departments, Fine line codes, and Items."
2. Do you use the AgVantage Inventory Receiving process to record when products come into your operation? Y/N
Some people do not enter inventory as it is received, they only enter products into their inventory through Accounts Payable when they receive the invoice. This may be days or a week after the product is in your inventory.
- If yes, simply let me know 2. Yes and continue to the next question.
- If no, let me know 2. No and we will teach you how to add this step to your operation, since it will be helpful to track lot #'s on feed coming into your operation. You need etraining on "Adding Inventory Receiving to your Operation"
3. Did you answer Yes to both of the questions above? Y/N
- If not, Please let me know which etraining class you would like to register for. All classes are $50 per session/workstation. Continue to the last question.
- If yes, then you are ready to have be added to our Installation and Training schedule for this Version 6.5 Lot Tracking software. Let me know when you would like to schedule your software update.
4. When would you like the etraining class on "Tracking Feed Lot #'s through your Operation.?"
All classes cost $50 per session/workstation. You can have as many of your staff together at a workstation for the same low fee. Or you may each attend the class from your own workstation and pay $50 each.
