Viewing Reports in Adobe PDF

Setting AgVantage Reports to an Adobe PDF file on your PC.
UMSETUP (enter)
Enter Your company letter
Host name . . . . . . . . . . . '191.111.1.10' or Host name . . . . . . . . . . . 'www.agvantage.com'
You will need to setup the host file on the PC for internal users, if the host name is a URL address.
The Adobe PDF will use this address when creating the PDF.

Each user will need to run this command.
CFGPDFDTA (F4)
- Enter User Name and *ALL.
- *CURRENT is for future use with the capability of one session on and one session off. Do not us *CURRENT at this time


- Turn on Adobe with *YES to 'Display spool files as pdf.'
- Turn off Adobe with *NO to 'Display spool files as pdf.'
- Job will go to Batch making screen available with *YES in 'Wait for batch jobs to finish.' You can see your job under 'QBATCH' in 'WRKACTJOB'.
- Session will lock, waiting for job to process with *NO in 'Wait for batch jobs to finish.'
- The program will fill 'PC browser path.' - DO NOT CHANGE.
- Use PC communication type *PCO is the default setting and should not need to be changed.
- PC communication type *SRV is not used at this time.
NOTE: Once the PDF is created you may print, save to a folder, save to a CD, or close report.
Reports should be on hold under user name when Adobe PDF is on. 'WRKSPLF USERNAME' will display reports on hold.
Some AgVantage Reports are not going to Adobe PDF at this time. Those reports should print to the user's printer.
